From Kiley & Adam’s wedding story:
What helped you in the planning process? What resources did you find helpful?
My mom and my sister were both extremely helpful, especially since we just went through the wedding planning process with my sister a few years ago. Because I live out of Cincinnati, my mom was a great stand-in for any meetings with vendors that I couldn’t attend. We also could not have gotten through the wedding day without the girls from Simply Events. They kept everyone on schedule, in place, and stress free!
From Caroline & Amir’s Wedding Story:
Tell us about the proposal.
We were living abroad in Shanghai, China and of course we had discussed a future together or I wouldn’t have moved across the world with him! Over the course of our relationship we went on some pretty amazing trips, but one of our favorite places was Paris it was Amir’s first time to Europe and we had the absolute best time!
From Chelsea & Max’s wedding story:
How did you decide on your venue? Why was it the perfect choice?
After looking at a few different venues around Cincinnati, we both felt that we had yet to find the perfect location for us. On a whim I threw out the idea of having our wedding in Naples and it stuck! From there we began researching the logistics of having an out-of-town wedding and made arrangements to meet with Lisa at The Players Club. When we were finally able to meet with her and tour TPC with our wedding in mind, we knew it would be the perfect venue.
From Keisha & Chris’ wedding story:
How were your personal styles reflected in your wedding day?
We love all things Southern so decided to do an out-of-town wedding in our favorite city Nashville. We enjoy the music, food and memories the city has given to us during our relationship. One word that describes us is classic so that is the word used to describe our wedding.
On how Courtney + Kevin decided on Ault Park in Cincinnati for their wedding reception:
We both really wanted an outdoor venue. We live really close to Ault Park and always walk there on nice days. I had always thought that it would make a perfect place for a wedding. When I started looking at venues, I went to see other parks but nothing measured up to Ault Park. We were on a shorter timeline and there was a cancellation on a Saturday that worked for our church, so we felt like it was meant to be!
It’s All About the Details…
Anna + Kenny’s Interfaith Wedding at Cincinnati’s Historic Mercantile Library
How was your personal style reflected in your wedding day?
We love vintage/old things that have a story, and we incorporated that into our wedding. Our ceremony was at the Mercantile Library, which perfectly captures our style. We carried the vintage feel and library theme into our reception with elements like an antique library card catalog that we used for place cards. I had my bouquet wrapped in lace from my mother’s wedding dress, pinned with a vintage cameo pin. Kenny wore a tie clip that belonged to his grandfather. Our wedding was all about the details!
