Jamie + Jeff's Modern Romantic Wedding Celebration with Lots of Sparkle

How did you find and decide on your dress?

At first I wanted a ballgown, but I am short so I kind of looked like a cupcake (not a cute one). A stylist at a bridal salon suggested the mermaid style and I loved it. I thought I looked like Jessica Rabbit! Va-Va-Voom. Anyway, I wanted a classic dress that I wouldn't look back in 10 years and go WTF? So I picked classic ivory silk mermaid gown with some modern elements including an asymmetric hem and a crumb catcher sweetheart neckline.

Ashley + Patrick's Blush & Gold Wedding

Ashley + Patrick's wedding day was an elegant, light filled day of celebration. With thoughtful details, from armfuls of peach rose petals lining the edges of the staircase that Ashley descended to the darling portrait "Charlie" cookies of the couple's fur baby. Ashley's warm summer palette of gold, blush, and peach was seamlessly incorporated into the bridesmaids gowns, invitation suite, and florals. The day was captured by Leppert Photography.

Kerry + Matt's Cooper Creek Event Center Wedding with Aglamesis

I loved the idea of having little touches here and there - so we added greenery and candles on the staircase and wreaths and lanterns by the front doors to our venue. We didn't do much with florals or decor at St. Francis de Sales. We chose to get married at St. Francis because the church itself is so beautiful!

Cincinnati Wedding Day with Reception at The Transept

How were your personal styles reflected in your wedding day?

I think both of our styles are pretty classic with modern touches and this was reflected in our choice of venue, clothing and décor. We liked the simplicity and the natural beauty of the venue which I think contrasted well with the larger brighter flower arrangements.

Grace + Josh's Summer Hall of Mirrors Wedding

How was your personal style reflected in your wedding day?

I think I would describe my personal style as fairly simple and traditional in most ways. I love monochromatic designs and sticking with neutral color schemes. I tried to incorporate this and get all of our wedding day details to really reflect that. I chose white bridesmaid's dresses and I loved how it turned out with all of us in the same color.

Libby + Brendan's summer wedding was all modern elegance. Libby and her bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of calla, also known as trumpet lilies, whose graceful white blossoms are natural wonders. Vows were exchanged in the Chapel at The Summit Country Day School and guests gathered at The Center for a modern reception with a minimal palette. White hydrangea and roses graced the tables in tall, smooth vases. Nathan Peel Photography captured the day.

Allison + Paul’s Cincinnati Wedding with Elegant Gold Invitation

Tell us a little about you and Paul.

Paul and I have been together for about four years now (and married for two months :)). We both grew up in Northern Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky. I am a 1st-grade teacher at Latonia Elementary in Covington, Kentucky, and Paul is an Underwriter at Great American Insurance Group. Paul is a huge sports fan (UK basketball, Notre Dame Football, St. Louis Cardinals... to name a few) so we travel all over to see these teams play. We are both very family-oriented and love to spend time with friends and family. We are waiting for our Chocolate Lab, Yadi, to be born to add to our family :)

Sara + Stephen’s Wedding at the Windamere

How would you describe the overall style of your wedding?

I envisioned our wedding to have a soft, romantic feel. I wanted our guests to be wowed and know that we truly spent time planning everything from the decor, to the flowers, and the location of the wedding and reception.... Of course it all started with our guests getting a hint of our vision by receiving our invitation from Poeme!
