When looking back on 2018 she writes: “Personally, it’s going to be hard to beat 2018. Getting married last July was HUGE!! But, at the end of 2019, I want to have loved more and stressed less! I hope to have experienced new adventures with my husband, and to have taken the time to enjoy every little thing that makes life with him so incredible! Professionally, I hope that I have grown more as an artist, especially in contemporary works. What sort of vision did you have for your wedding stationery?

Going into the stationary consultation, I hoped our stationary could reflect both my personal style but also contain elements of Akash's South Indian heritage. I wanted the paper goods to drive the details of our wedding though it also had to be functional.

How was your personal style reflected in your wedding day?

Many things were made ourselves or with the help of family (e.g., we did custom pint glass + chocolate covered pretzel party favors), and everything else was left to our wonderful vendors. In general, we wanted the wedding to be modern and whimsical, which it certainly was. We're also big fans of Dave Matthews Band, and the wedding showed it: Processional songs were string quartet covers of DMB songs, and our dinner playlist was a hand-picked selection of some of our favorite live song performances.

From Clary Pfeiffer... From day one, Kristen described her wedding vision as simple and elegant. A pearl among gemstones, she wanted a day inspired by classic beauty, foregoing flashy gimmicks for subtle, luxurious details. Kristen chose elements to compliment the nature of the day. Her love for Andrew, both sweet and mature in nature became a muse for the design of the wedding. Every detail exuded simple romance and fashionable sophistication.
