Brianna + Tyler's Timeless and Elegant Wedding

Brianna + Tyler’s timeless, romantic, and elegant wedding celebration that began at the historic Saint Frances de Sales Church and ended in a beautiful reception at Hyde Park Country Club. Brianna’s friend designed her gorgeous wedding stationery and Poeme printed the suite.

Getting ready for wedding day
Cincinnati wedding celebration

Tyler and I met at a high school graduation party. We had a lot of mutual friends throughout high school but had not met before. The night we met, we spent the entire evening hanging out, and the two of us quickly became really close friends. We spent that whole summer hanging out. Many of our friends would joke that we were in love, but we kept pushing back saying no we were just friends.

One night a group of us went up to Mt. Adam’s. Ty and I ended up spending the entire evening sitting on the steps of Immaculata Church talking and looking at the view of Cincinnati. It was not too long after that evening that we both moved up to Columbus to go to school at Ohio State. Within a week of being on campus, we were dating. Six years later Tyler proposed to me on those same steps overlooking the city. We were in Mt. Adam’s grabbing a drink at the Blind Lemon. Tyler suggested we walk over to Immaculata. We stood there for a few minutes talking until Ty started laughing and said, “so I guess you can see them.” He was referring to his younger brother and sister who were not so sneakily taking pictures of us. I hadn’t seen them, but once I did, I knew what we were going to do. He got down on one knee, I have no idea what he said (I blacked out), but I said yes and we were engaged! We then went to my favorite restaurant, Nicola’s. After, Ty took me to Igby’s where he had rented out a room and brought in all of our friends and family to surprise me.

Brianna’s friend Elizabeth designed her wedding invitations which Poeme then printed.

Elizabeth is my very best friend, and I gotta say, I was shocked by just how well she knew me when she showed me her designs for the stationery. She was there throughout the whole process of planning the wedding; she knew exactly my vision for the day. I have always wanted a black-tie wedding so a lot of our ideas revolved around that; we wanted stationery fit for a Royal Wedding (haha). I would send Elizabeth pictures of ideas and things I liked, and she took it from there. The stationery she designed perfectly encapsulated my vision for the wedding. Elizabeth and I then spent many evenings (along with our moms, other friends, even Tyler, and her fiancé Sam sometimes helped) drinking wine and assembling the invitations. It was one of my favorite parts of planning the wedding.
