Cincinnati wedding celebration with stationery by Poeme

Libby + Chris were married on a beautiful June day at Cincinnati Country Club with the most vibrant flowers you have ever seen! Libby and her bridal party carried bouquets filled with magenta peonies, garden roses, icelandic poppies, coxcomb and craspedia (those adorable little yellow spheres!), delphinium, hydrangea and orchids. It was an absolutely stunning flower filled garden celebration captured by Megan Noll Photography and featured on The Knot.

We love working with graphic designers, especially when the designer is the bride or groom! It was so rewarding to be able to see Chris’ design come to life in print, adding a level of unmatched personalization. We are thrilled he and Libby trusted us to make sure the print highlighted his design.

The invitation pulled in a bright floral spray across the top that coordinated with the arrangements Libby’s mom, Robin Wood, created. The modern, clean fonts paired with gold foil accents added vibrancy and set the tone for a gorgeous and fun celebration.

Inspired by the spring season, Libby Ferguson (29 an advertising account executive) and Chris Mock (31 a senior designer) looked to a vivid palette of periwinkle, pink, yellow and orange to create an ultra-colorful soiree at Libby's family’s country club. “Although the venue was formal, we wanted the look to be fun and light,” Libby says. Because Libby's mom owns a floral shop, bold blooms were a natural fit for the day's design. “The flowers were the best part of the day—other than the celebration itself!” Libby says.
The pair also put their own creative talents to use for a personal touch: Chris designed the stationery, and Libby homemade pasta as favors. “I love to cook, so this was my special way of saying thank you,” Libby says.
